Compassionate, selfless, thoughtful and protective, Elena's cunning, narrow-minded pigheadedness and reckless bravery puts her in harm's way more times than she can count. She's the girl who thinks she can do the impossible because the impossible exists around her. Elena is extremely traumatised, but will keep her head high and insist that she's fine. She will never bother you with any of her drama. After all, she's the girl who has to be fine. ABILITIES/ SKILLS Doppelgänger blood—super special blood that makes her super special and can be used for magic. Inquisitive—she's extremely nosy and is like a dog with a bone when she wants to discover something. Perceptiveness—she has a knack for reading people and understanding them. Protective—she's extremely protective to the point where she will hurt herself for that person to be safe. Journalling—she's a good journalist. ;) Recklessness—it's literally off the charts. Martyrdom—another superpower. IC PERMISSIONS physical affection: Elena's an affectionate person. She'll hug anyone she knows and she will grant physical comfort in the form of a hug or a handhold to a stranger. flirting: She'll blush and most likely flirt right back if the other person gives off a good vibe. relationships: Elena's technically still in a relationship with Stefan Salvatore, but I am totally down to clown and ship! Slowburn gets the worm. Flirtations are also fun since Elena's a bit of a blusher but will still give as good as she gets. Death is something I want to discuss first. psychic information: Elena's gone through some serious trauma in her life. She was the cause for her parents' drowning and death, and was the sole survivor of their car crash when it had crashed into the lake. She has unaddressed PTSD and grief issues up the wazoo. She's also witnessed the death of her birth mother, Isobel, who was a vampire; endured her birth mother's dismay and derision and felt abandoned by her once more; she found out that she is adopted and the two people who raised her are actually her aunt and uncle; she has witnessed her brother be murdered before her very eyes because she didn't reciprocate a man's romantic interest in her; said man she romantically rejected has made various physical threats of violence against her, has been physically violent with her, has emotionally tried to manipulate her, has attempted to mentally manipulate her, and has violated her by forcing her to drink blood against her will; she learned the uncle she loathed was her birth father; she's witnessed her aunt's murder and was the cause of it; and, last but not least, has died herself. Elena puts up a front of being fine, but her survivor's guilt often drives her martyrdom. triggers: Drowning; being forced upon (aka assaulted in any way); being bitten. unwanted scenarios: Spoiling Elena for the rest of the series. I don't like her as a vampire, so I don't really want her to know she becomes one, and I don't want her to know she gets with Damon.
